Heavy Seas Mutiny Fleet The Great Pumpkin Imperial Pumpkin Ale

Pumpkin pie on the whiff. Wow, I just drank a slice of pumpkin pie!! Not the season for this (been in my fridge awhile?) but I am instantly transported to fall! Cold and rainy tonight, is it May or October? Love a good pumpkin ale, and this delivers the booty! All pumpkin and spice! MB

Noble Rot

Ale brewed with grape must. You can smell a bit of grape on the sniff. A complex sour flavor, from the grapes. Kinda the perfect beer/white wine hybrid. Drank alot of DFH on my recent trip, and happy to come home and find yet something different in my fridge. These guys do such crazy shit, but always seem to pull it off! Same here. Share with a wine friend who you want to get drinking beer. ID

Blue Moon (Belgian White)

The standard "Blue Moon" as though they make no others. I'm sure you've had this, but here's my take, for what that's worth. Smooth with slight grain flavor and tartness. Easy drinking, but if you're a bartender, please spare me the orange! ID

Maui Mana Wheat Ale w/Maui Gold Pineapples

Light and refreshing with a hint of pineapple juice. Been drinking mohitos to avoid the heat, but this is also refreshing!  Not much for low alcohol wheats, but this delivers! ID

Unibroue Ephemere Apple-Infused Ale

Wow, the whiff is like i just sliced open an apple! Very dry, just apple and hops. So dry, not unlike a bit of apple peel. Not what I'm gonna drink on a normal day, but not at all cidery, so this apple actually rocks! Nice! MB for the fruit and dry wine fan in your life.

Adoration. Belgian-Style Strong Dark Ale

Sweet smell. That Belgian aftertaste. Hoppy enough to be smooth and drinkable, but a bit too sweet for me. ID

I Hardcore You Imperial IPA

Bartender had to search the taps 3 times to find this since they have so many and she hadn't poured it before. Slight grainy/citrus nose. Really bitter and thin and watery like a European. I prefer the American IPAs. ID

Little on the nose. Served warmer, so it is soft but a nice delicate citrus makes this extremely drinkable despite the big ABV. ID

Mokah Imperial Stout

Whoa, chocolatey awesomeness! The smell is all chocolate, the taste is almost nothing but, with just a hint of alcoholic malt sweetness! Dessert! This is amazing! 2x MB

Saison du Buff

Very citrusy on the nose. Was worried about a farmhouse flavor on this, but the dude said it was "belgian, but not that belgian". This is really good! Light, refreshing, and perfect for summer! MB

Aprihop

An IPA with apricots? Weird enough i had to try it, and DFH usually doesn't let me down. Not a fan of fruity beer, but this really fucking works! The taste of apricot perfectly compliments the hop character of an IPA. Can't describe it, just try it! MB

Good Humans Dry Hopped Double Brown Ale

Dark color, good flavor. A bit roasty, but lots of hop bitterness, and a nice all around flavor. Very drinkable and slightly spicy at the back of the throat. Tastes good even on a warm day. I'll say, MB

Imperial Jack Double IPA

Finally tonight, I've let an ale warm to its proper temperature! Nothing on the nose, and little more than carbonated water for flavor! Slight bitterness, and a mass produced sort of flavor. If I wasn't so bored, I'd probably pour this one out. Not much to taste for a double, but then again watery tasting and still putting up the ABV, I can't complain! Expected more, but can't complain for what I've gotten. ID

B.O.R.I.S The Crusher Oatmeal-Imperial Stout

Very low carbonation, but again this is too cold! Damn old fridge just won't warm up, and damn if I could wait for it to warm once I decide to pull one from the fridge! The brand Hoppin' Frog caught my attention, and hoppy stout? Oooh, yeah. Very silky in the mouth. Touch of sweetness, then all blackened grains. Good bitterness, but I was hoping for hop flavor, not what a stout generally brings, but wouldn't that be a welcome bonus. Bit of a booze aroma, but then again, if it's "the crusher" it should be. Feelin' happy with this stout, so bottoms up! ID

Loopy Oatmeal Red Ale

Love a good red, and this label looks pretty trippy, so it grabbed my attention. Bit of grainy on the nose, but like the last I'm drinking this at colder than ale temp, and this is smooth, bitter, and refreshing. A great wake up from an early nap the last beer sent me off on. Crisp and a tiny bit hoppy, need to let this warm for sure. Hour or so later, warmed to a nice toasty taste, but still heavy with bitterness. This is a red? Could use more flavor hops, but this bitter friend is pretty much my idea of red. ID

Ass Kisser Double IPA

Not anything on the nose and not much flavor body either, but nice and bitter! Slightest hint of grainy sweetness, but dominated by bitterness. Just how I like it. Wanna make my bitter beer face! Just your basic solid bitter beer. Label says more flavor comes as it warms, and my fridge has it way too cold, so we'll see what develops. ID

Blue Moon Belgian-Style Pale Ale

Copper with a touch of sweetness. No nose, but with the refreshing bitterness of standard-faire beer. No complaints! Easy drinking, but with good flavor. Realizing I'm rating as many today as I have in the past 2-3 months. No, I haven't been tea-totaling, just drinking booze and too lazy to rate new beers as I've had them, and I've had many. Summer temperatures have me feeling like getting back to my true life's work today! Hope the summer months will have me not pathetically lacking in my true duty to try, and rate, as many great beers as I can manage. Jackman is back on duty! I'll buy this again, but not being blown off my keister, I'll say ID. The masses should appreciate this one, though.

Blue Moon Agave Blonde Ale

Generally not a fan of traditional Blue Moon (will rate that later), but picked up a sampler just to try this one. Crisp and refreshing! Bit of a brainy nose and taste, but nice bitterness to a refreshing end. A slight hint of an unusual flavor, which must be the agave, which truly makes this beer. Unique, but yet one everyone could enjoy! Nothing too crazy here, just refreshing goodness, perfect for summer days! MB
