Raspberry Ale

A nice plain ale, but with raspberries! I've had alot to drink today, so my perception is likely off, but this is very drinkable, very hop bitter. There is just a tiny hint of raspberries, so this is not no girly drink! A nice solid beer to watch this intense Indian summer dissolve into freezing temps! ID

Reserve Special Black Ale

Very roasty and sweet. A thick, medicinal brew! Reminds me alot of my own "Peter Steele" homebrew. Dark, oh so dark, but not a stout. I like it, but you almost have to chew it! ID+

Furious Beer

Pretty hoppy. My nose is a bit stuffed, so maybe I'm not getting all of this, but there isn't a ton of hop aroma nor flavor. But it is bitter, and hop dominant, malt recessive. A pretty good beer. ID

DuneGras IPA

Malty nose, and solid malt backbone with plenty of hop bitterness, but definitely malt forward. A standard IPA. ID

Boffo Brown Ale

A nice brown! Hint of malt sweetness, but plenty of bitterness for a perfect brown the way I like it. And with a bit more booze than I'd expect. I think this is my favorite brown! MB

Stone 10th Anniversary IPA (20th Anniversary Encore Series)

A heavy hitter! Ultra smooth, perfectly balanced between hops and malt. The tiniest sweetness hints at the big booze beneath. They gotten better at hiding this over the years! I'm looking to lose a feeling of stress. This beast ought to do it!  ID

Southern Hops'pitality IPA

Pretty standard IPA. Very close balance between hop bitterness and malt, such that I can't decide which dominates. So I guess this is simply perfectly balanced. ID

Goin' Coastal IPA with Pineapple

The first time I saw a pineapple IPA (Ballast Point's), I thought it sounded weird but took a shot. That is one of my top 5 favorite beers now, but it is pretty darn expensive. So when I saw this, I jumped at it. Even though it is beyond it's "best by" date, this is a nice substitute at $5 cheaper a sixer! Solid IPA with a light body, and that pineapple flavor just kind of floats around it, pairing better than you could believe. Ahhh, makes it feel like Summer isn't a distant memory! MB

Sex and Candy IPA

On this most dark day in the history of the world, at least there's sex and candy.  Nice bitter hop whiff, and a tiny bit of hop flavor. Thin but good. Beer and getting drunk is all that is left now. Fuck the world. ID

Big Red Coq Hoppy Belgo-American Red Ale

A pleasant surprise. Really light body, almost watery. The tiniest hint of Belgian-style, but perfectly bitter and exceptionally easy to drink. A nice ale for pounding! I'm not getting much flavor or aroma from my favorite Citra hops they use, but it all works for a simple refreshing beer. ID

Enjoy By 10.31.16 Tangerine IPA

I don't know how I missed drinking this on Halloween! Hope it's still good, lol! You can tell this is heavy. It has appropriate bitterness. And the tangerine imparts a distinct flavor, but it is not overt citrus. It is good, but seems to be lacking in the hop flavor department, something of which Stone is almost never guilty. So I'm a bit disappointed, only because they nearly always exceed my expectations. At least they didn't go with a pumpkin ale for 10/31, but hey, have I ever had a pumpkin IPA?! Food for thought. ID

Scary Jesus Rock Star Pale Ale

Brewed with apricot and chamomile. I think I rated this before, on draft. This is the first time I had it in a bottle. This pissed me off by exploding out of the bottle, on all but this last one, go figure. Kinda funky, now that I think about it, definitely due to the chamomile flavor. Unique. Pretty pleasant though. I'm always up for something different, and this is a bit. ID

The Down Low Ale

So beautiful to be drinking beer outside in November! I was angry when I got this bottle home and saw the LOW alcohol, but now I know what the name means! Otherwise, this is exploding with hop flavor! You can smell the hops with it sitting a foot away on the table, outside! This would be great for Summer. The body is so thin, and being so weak, there is enough hops to make it almost sour. This is one to pound in the heat when you're gonna day drink, ALL day, and might want to keep your wits about you. Thai Chili Wahoo

A wit beer with Thai chili, lime, and ginger. Holy shit, this smells and tastes exactly as it should. It is pepper CRAZY! Why did I buy this? It was for the ginger, but I don't taste that at all, well actually it is there, but it blends in to overall spice. Nor do I taste the usual wit flavor. All I taste is spicy pepper, spice. Actually tastes good for pepper flavor, and hot but not too hot, but this is just all pepper. I'm gonna down this, but it's gonna hurt! I need more booze to ameliorate that hurt! ID
