Spotted Cow Farmhouse Ale

A farmhouse ale with the usual funk and a hint of sour. I hear this is all the rage in Wisconsin, and my wife was wonderful enough to surprise me with some in a mixed 12er as she came home from a week-long work trip. I'm drinking this right after an Apex Predator for comparison. This is good, quite good, but the Predator wins the battle! AP is still my top Farmhouse, one I find myself craving even though I hated the style for awhile. But I'll drink this again when I next find myself in Wisconsin. ID+

Citradelic Exotic Lime Ale

Big lime flavor, thin light ale. Want the Corona+lime flavor with no skunk, and not some Bud Light shit? Then this is your beer. You won't get scurvy drinking this, but it could be better. ID

Charlatan American Pale Ale

A simple, straight up pale ale. With the blend of hops listed (Citrate, Simcoe, Centennial, Warrior) I was hoping for big hop flavor, but it's pretty laid back. A simple good-drinking beer. ID

Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale

I had this once back in May in a bar. Found myself craving it today for some reason. "Farmhouse" ales used to taste gross to me, but I've found some good ones and they've grown on me. This one is an AWESOME Summer beer. I just love the smooth refreshing flavor with just a hint of that farmhouse funk! Feels almost fruity, and the tiniest bit of sour. The label claims "secret techniques" of "free-rise fermentation" and "prey selection". Leads to a damn tasty satisfying brew! MB

Michigan Cherry IPA

Got this in Michigan on vacation, and it's fabulous! The cherry flavor dominates, in a refreshing way, over a light beer background. They say it's an IPA, but I don't know. I'm not really perceiving the hops, but that's ok, cause it is great as is. (Ooo, but what if it was also ridiculously hopped...) MB-
