Blueberry Maple Stout

Fruity aroma, and some great blueberry flavor surrounding a nice roasty stout with a medium body. And a silky smooth mouth-feel to boot. There is a bit of an aftertaste that seems woody to me. So this one has lots of great flavors intertwined! The aftertaste lingers a very long time. Pretty darn good. MB

Liquid Truth Serum IPA

Another big hop ale. Not as pleasant an aroma as the Born Yesterday, and not nearly as much citrus either. Still lots of hop flavor, just of a little funkier, maybe more resiny variety. I might like this a tad better than the previously mentioned, due to the lack of citrus. But both are equally deserving of being my new favorite, for slightly different but wholly hoppy reasons! MB

Born Yesterday Pale Ale

Exploding with hop flavor and citrus. Amazing hop aroma. This is probably about as much flavor as you could possibly get from dry-hopping! I wonder how much they use? The label says it includes Mosaic, Amarillo, Equinox & other "special varieties". But the website says 11 lbs per barrel of Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and "Indigenous Catawampus". Anyway, this is apparently made once each Fall with very fresh hops, only in stores in a 6-pack. The previously rated "Born Again Yesterday" is basically the same recipe, except it is made in the Spring with specially preserved hops, sold by the 12-pack. Now that I got that sorted, this is great! Drink it fresh while you can!! MB

Beam Me Up Stouty Coconut Stout

The aroma is ALL coconut! The taste is very strong coconut, but almost an artificial flavor, and then a bit of roasty stout. Also more bitter than I'd expect. Pretty darn good, and an excellent concept, but it could be tweaked a bit to better pull of the vision. Maybe some chocolate, and maybe a higher gravity for a thicker body. ID

Kalamazoo Stout

Probably one of the first stouts I ever drank, but somehow I haven't rated it. Nicely roasty, a bit of caramel, but then not super thick. Smooth, but crisp with carbonation. An all around good basic stout, on which I've judged all others. ID

Darker Than Your Soul

This is dark, in color, but not too dark for a stout. Dry, a bit roasty, and some other flavor, I'm not sure. Pretty decent and simple. ID

Eight-Ball Stout

Kind of a really nice version of a simple stout. I don't taste any fruits nor coffee nor chocolate. Actually quite refreshing as a light bubbly carbonation quickly follows the initial roasted flavor. Simple and good! ID+

Topless Wytch Baltic Porter

Very little head. Pretty thick, but I can just barely tell that it's a porter not a stout by it's slightly thinner overall body. Pretty dry with a tiny hint of sweetness. Nice and roasty. A pleasant surprise when my daughter brought this up from the basement. I didn't know I had it, and I was craving dark beer after wish shopping Binny's porter and stout sale online this afternoon.
