'Hop' Wallop

With a name like this, my interest is peaked, and expectations are high. As opposed to my last post, this beer is a little on the warm side 'cause I just couldn't wait. My nose is a bit stuffed so I should probably quit rating. This is definitely hoppy, but the hop flavor just doesn't cut through and slap you in the face like I was hoping it would. It has everything I want in a hop beer, except that extra little flavor kick to knock me on my ass. Maybe it is just struggling against the sweetness from the high alcohol content, but a fair balance is struck. My mood is improving with every sip though, as it often does with hoppy beers. Is St. John's Wort a plant in the hop family? Anyway, a good hoppy ale, and I reserve the right to correct this rating later if need be. ID
