Goose Autumn Ale

More variety yet, from Goose Island! They're calling this a red ale, though the color should be redder, though I know from experience how tough it is to get that color just right. And now a sudden sneezing fit has stuffed my nose, so this review won't be quite right. This has a much softer mouth-feel than the previous beer, despite a higher IBU. It is caramelly and  scrumptious, though bitterness lingers on the tongue, likely from a small amount of burnt grain to get the color. Overall I like it, even with my current limited senses! A nice Fall offering on a crisp night! MB

Goose Experimental Ale Autumn 2015

A nice smooth mix of grain and hops. More grainy than a pale ale, but just enough for flavor, and we'll balanced by Cascade and Columbus hops. Defined on the label as an ESB, I agree it fits the style. I'm glad being part of giant InBev hasn't reduced Goose's capacity to innovate, and seems to have allowed them to produce even more variety than they had previously. A solid easy-drinking ale at an affordable price. ID

Ten Hills American Pale Ale

First had this on draft at the HAWKS games, an alternative to cheap crap beer, and even the more popular barely bonified ales. From the first sip, this was better than the rest. You definitely get a whiff and taste of unusual hops. The malt backbone is right, but not noticeable. That's my kind of beer. Why this is a "limited release" when I bought it 'cause they weren't selling IPA and yet this is better than their IPA, I don't know. But if enough of us start drinking this, they'll have no choice but to pump this out all year round! MB
